The summer is officially HERE, and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ve been so pumped to use our Weber Grills Genesis II this summer, and have been doing all types of recipes on the grill. Usually people go the savory route when grilling, but today we’re switching it up to bring you a little bit of sweetness.
We’re grilling fruits spiced with cinnamon and ginger, and glazed with maple syrup and coconut oil. Yes, it’s perfect in all the right ways! I had friends and family over to try this recipe, and they were all blown away by how simple and delicious this recipe was.
The grapefruits were my absolute favorite grilled, but all the fruits tasted great! For this recipe, we used the Weber Spirit II grill, which has 2 convenient side tables for placing trays. Once you start heating up the grill to a medium heat, mix the cinnamon and ginger in a small bowl. Assemble your fruit on a platter, and brush the top sides of the fruit lightly with coconut oil and maple syrup.
Sprinkle the spices on top, and transfer to the grill, cooking the glazed size first for 3-4 minutes, or until browned with grill marks. Flip and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes. Add to a platter, allow to cool until warm, and serve with vanilla ice cream!
