Listed in order of how much patience you have LOL Listed in order of how much patience you have LOL these past few days have been packed with virtual & real life family gatherings, and I've noticed the weight/body talk stuff is intensified by 1000 with concerns about covid weight gain 🙄

I put together an article on @selfmagazine to help you navigate these next few days, and have tons of resources on there that are helpful year round. I added my go-to resources to share with people who are open to learning about a more inclusive approach to health, provide phrases to help you mentally prep, and more!

What tricks do you have for cooking large cuts of What tricks do you have for cooking large cuts of fish perfectly? #ad

TBH, I have an overcooking problem 😩 It’s really EASY to overcook fish because the cooking time varies so much depending on the size of meat and cooking method. Another thing that happens to me is I get the right texture on the outside, and then the thick part of the fish is raw.

SUCH a delicate balance, amirite?

For this BBQ salmon filet, I used @Yummly 's new Wireless Smart Thermometer to make sure the inside and outside were cooked just the way I wanted. I’m loving this thermometer because it helps you cook fish, meat, or poultry to the PERFECT temperature every time by syncing with the @yummly app on your phone.

At first I thought it would be complicated to set up, but it was actually really simple (took all but 5 minutes to hook it to my phone’s bluetooth). You decide whether you want your protein rare, medium, well, etc (they even have presets!), then place the thermometer in the fillet during the cooking process and the @yummly app will alert you as your protein cooks and when it is ready to be removed from heat. #YummlySmartThermometer #YummlyintheKitchen

To cook this salmon, I preheated the oven to 400F and lined a rimmed baking tray with parchment paper. Then I added the salmon filet rubbed with BBQ sauce (recipe below!), skin side down to the baking tray. I inserted the Yummly Smart Thermometer into the thickest part of the filet until no metal was showing. Then I connected to Yummly App and selected 'Salmon Filet.' You then choose your desired doneness and move the tray to the oven. Remove when Yummly app alerts you that your salmon filets are cooked, which will depend on the size and thickness of your salmon filet.

That easy!!! Also, if you’re looking for a simple BBQ sauce recipe, see below.

1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon cumin
Cayenne pepper, to taste
Add the ingredients to a small saucepan, and cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
