#ad Did y’all know that February is American Hea #ad Did y’all know that February is American Heart Month? This month, we’re teaming up with @american_heart to show how you can care for your heart in easy, accessible ways – such as exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, and following a heart-healthy diet, which can include drinking unsweetened tea.

As many of you know, Black people are disproportionately affected by cardiovascular disease, and it’s important to be aware of what things you can do to take care of yourself. My favorite forms of self-care include: keeping the phone out of the room so I can aim for 8 hours of sleep every night, walking most days (my form of joyful movement), laughing as much as possible (I’m actually really goofy), and having a healthy relationship with food!

I’m also Ioving drinking a warm glass of unsweetened tea as a nightcap, especially in the cooler months. It’s relaxing, and choosing beverages with no added sugars can contribute to a healthy heart consistent with American Heart Association recommendations.

Your turn: What’s your favorite way to care for your heart?

@liptonusa is a proud national sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Life is Why. #heartmonth #teatime
