Immunity Powerhouse Green Juice

Green machine! This Immunity Powerhouse Green Juice lives up to the name! Each ingredient has a host of immune boosting properties to help keep you healthy.  Yes, we want our immune systems to be strong and healthy, but we also want to eat delicious foods (or drink in this case) and this juice is absolutely mouthwatering!

As we all know, fruits and vegetables are loaded with many important vitamins and minerals to keep our immune systems strong and all parts of our bodies functioning properly.  The kale is a phenomenal source of vitamin K, A, and C, folate, B vitamins, copper, manganese, and fiber.  The apple, carrots, and pineapple are loaded with vitamin C that also works to keep our immune system powering through.

Ginger is a member of a plant family that includes cardamom and turmeric. It has a slightly spicy aroma that adds great flavor to this juice.  Indians and Chinese are believed to have produced ginger as a tonic root for over 5000 years to treat many ailments.  Ginger has been thought to have a variety of powerful therapeutic and preventive effects and has been used for thousands of years for the treatment of hundreds of ailments from colds to cancer.  It is a great source of antioxidants and has been found to reduce inflammation, swelling, and pain. Garlic was used at the beginning of recorded history; ancient medical texts from Egypt, Greece, Rome, China and India each prescribed medical applications for garlic.  It also has an anti-inflammatory effect like ginger does, resulting in overall stronger immunity.

Start off by washing your apple, carrots, kale, and ginger.  Combine the pineapple, apple, carrots, kale, ginger, garlic, and cayenne pepper into a juicer.  Juice this baby up and enjoy!

I want to start juicing and making natural drinks. Do you use a juicer or just a blender for this one?
