Crunchy Cauliflower Bites

I recently made these crunchy cauliflower bites for a house party, and they were gone within 5 minutes! They鈥檙e incredibly easy to whip up, and pair perfectly with this聽plant-based聽cheese sauce made w/ @fieldroast Chao Creamy Original Cheese Slices. Catch the full recipe below!! Xo #ad #SimplyMade鉅 鉅 INGREDIENTS:鉅 鉅 路 聽FOR THE CAULIFLOWER鉅 路 1 small head cauliflower鉅 路 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs鉅 路 1/2 cup cornmeal鉅 路 1 teaspoon ground paprika鉅 路 1 teaspoon garlic powder鉅 路 1/2 teaspoon salt鉅 路 1 egg聽or flax egg鉅 路 1 tablespoon coconut oil鉅 路 1 tablespoon maple syrup鉅 路 1 tablespoon soy sauce鉅 路 1 tablespoon chili paste (sambal聽oelek聽paste)鉅 鉅 FOR THE聽CHAO CHEESE聽SAUCE:鉅 路 录 cup butter (plant-based聽works)鉅 路 1 cup聽soy milk鉅 路 1/2 tablespoon corn starch鉅 路 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast鉅 路 陆 tablespoon paprika鉅 路 陆 teaspoon salt鉅 路 Pinch of cayenne pepper鉅 路 1/2 pack of Chao creamy original cheese slices, diced鉅 鉅 INSTRUCTIONS:鉅 馃憠馃徑Preheat the oven to 400F鉅 馃憠馃徑Chop the cauliflower into 1 1/2鈥 florets鉅 馃憠馃徑In a small bowl,聽mix together聽the dry ingredients (breadcrumbs, cornmeal, & spices)鉅 馃憠馃徑In another bowl, beat together the wet ingredients well (egg, oil, maple syrup, soy sauce, & chili paste)鉅 馃憠馃徑Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dip each cauliflower floret into the wet mix, and then into the dry mix, and place onto the baking sheet. Repeat until聽all of聽the cauliflower is coated.鉅 馃憠馃徑Bake the cauliflower for 30 minutes, flipping halfway. While that鈥檚 baking, let鈥檚 make the cheese sauce!鉅 馃憠馃徑In a small saucepan, melt the butter, and then add the聽soy milk. Slowly whisk in the corn starch, until fully mixed in.鉅 馃憠馃徑Add in the nutritional yeast, paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper and cook for another minute.鉅 馃憠馃徑Then add in the diced Chao slices, and continue cooking over low heat (~5 minutes) until the cheese sauce is thick and melted. Whisk frequently while cooking.鉅 馃憠馃徑Enjoy with the crispy cauliflower!

Ingredients
  • 1 Small head cauliflower
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp Ground Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Chili Paste or Sambal Oelek Paste
For the cheese sauce:
  • 1/4 cup butter (plant-based聽works)
  • 1 cup soy milk
  • 1/2 tbsp corn starch鉅
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast鉅
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • 3.5 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded or diced
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400F鉅
